Toshiba has introduced the SensTemp™ Stable Temperature Water Heater, a breakthrough innovation promising safer, smarter, and eco-friendly living solutions for Malaysian households.
This launch coincides with the country’s growing demand for energy-efficient home appliances, a market projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.08 per cent from 2024 to 2032.
Steven Yang, managing director at Toshiba Sales & Services Sdn Bhd, highlighted the significance of sustainability in shaping consumer choices. “The Malaysian water heater segment remains highly competitive. While the market demands smart functionality and modern aesthetics, the growing awareness of sustainability and energy conservation further fuels the demand for eco-friendly products. Toshiba is committed to being a trusted name for modern homes worldwide, enhancing consumer experiences with products that embody our heritage of quality, innovation, and reliability,” he said at the launch on Thursday.
The SensTemp™ integrates Toshiba’s advanced Stable Temp Smart technology, maintaining consistent water temperatures with real-time adjustments to heating power. Equipped with Hall-Effect Flow and Water Temperature Sensors, the system detects fluctuations and ensures precise power management, optimising energy use and reducing waste.
Safety is further enhanced with its Water-Electricity Separated Heater, isolating water from electrical components to minimise risks of leakage or faults.
Steven added, “Emerging market trends underscore the need to innovate and cater to the diverse requirements of today’s consumers—delivering practical, reliable, efficient, and environmentally-conscious water heater solutions. The SensTemp™ Stable Temperature Water Heater exemplifies Toshiba’s unique ability to blend advanced technology with everyday practicality, empowering households with smarter, safer, and more sustainable living.”
For personalised experiences, the SensTemp™ offers versatile modes:
- Relax Mode: Mimics a spa with gradual heating to 40°C before cooling to 38°C.
- Sport Mode: Alternates between hot and cold temperatures for muscle recovery.
- iTemp Mode: Adjusts water temperature according to seasonal changes, eliminating manual adjustments.
Priced between RM599 and RM1,099, the water heater is available at major appliance retailers nationwide.
