According to Senior Minister & Minister of International Trade and Industry Dato ‘Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, the government’s efforts to encourage the production and installation of EEVs include providing incentives and encouraging taxes for critical component manufacturing activities, developing standards to support the EV industry ecosystem, and developing skilled manpower in the field of telematics and advanced technology.

Furthermore, incentives for EV consumers will be prescribed to ensure Malaysia’s ability to increase its competitiveness in attracting labor in the EV sector. The aim is supported by the government’s comprehensive incentive package announced by the Minister of Finance under Budget2022.
