EDOTCO partners with four Malaysian innovators to revolutionise connectivity

    EDOTCO, Malaysia’s leading tower infrastructure company, has announced transformative partnerships with four innovative Malaysian organisations to drive the future of connectivity. These collaborations aim to integrate cutting-edge technologies such as fibre, AI, 5G, autonomous vehicles, and IoT to enhance Malaysia’s digital ecosystem and accelerate progress across industries.

    The partnerships were officially unveiled on 26 November 2024 at the 11th TowerXchange Meetup Asia 2024, with Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil in attendance, alongside key industry leaders. EDOTCO’s CEO, Adlan Tajudin, highlighted the initiative’s significance:

    “We are reaffirming our commitment to continuously improve and add value to the local digital ecosystem. …Advanced connectivity technology has the ability to drastically change how businesses operate, and with the innovations under our purview such as our 5G, edge computing, Integrated Building Solutions, and more, we can and will transform the business landscape as it is today.”

    The Strategic Collaborations

    1. SEAX Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (SEAX):
      SEAX will enhance Malaysia’s network resilience by developing edge computing solutions and alternative fibre routes for redundancy, ensuring robust connectivity for businesses and communities.

    2. SmartSel Sdn Bhd (SmartSel):
      EDOTCO and SmartSel aim to transform Selangor into a “Smart State” by 2025 through smart city solutions such as flood detection systems, waste management technologies, and other initiatives under the Smart Selangor Action Plan 2025.

    3. MInD Mechatronic Intelligent Design Sdn Bhd (MInD):
      MInD will leverage IoT, automation, and data-driven technologies to advance sustainability and innovation in smart cities and plantations.

    4. eMooVit Technology Sdn Bhd (eMooVit):
      eMooVit will integrate EDOTCO’s infrastructure with 5G-enabled autonomous vehicle solutions, supporting last-mile transport and contributing to Malaysia’s net-zero carbon goals.

    These partnerships align with EDOTCO’s mission to “Connect the Unconnected and Underconnected” while advancing national goals, such as achieving 100 per cent coverage and inclusivity under the CoPA initiative. The integration of modern telecommunications technologies promises to deliver significant benefits, from enhanced business operations to improved sustainability in key sectors.
