Bandar Alam Suria was a hive of vibrant community events in November, including the residents and visitors coasting on their best at the Upin Ipin Fun Run, and having a whale of a time at the Alam Suria Carnival.
The festivities were held alongside the eagerly anticipated preview of the Soren Show House, the first phase of the upcoming Suria Hill residential development at Bandar Puncak Alam.
Developed by IJM Land, Suria Hill is a 170-acre, low-density extension of the Alam Suria township that has the unique proposition of being situated on the scenic hilltop of Bandar Puncak Alam. The Upin Ipin Fun Run brought together over 5,000 participants of all ages, thrilled to meet their favourite animated characters, the iconic duo of Upin and Ipin. This event celebrated a healthy lifestyle with a themed fun run, bonding with family and friends, and a communal community spirit, encouraging all-comers to enjoy an active day of brisk jogging, lighthearted banter, and a little friendly competition. Beyond the cardio benefits as a result of the light physical exertion, the run created a lively atmosphere where families could connect and share quality time in a mutually supportive environment, cheering each other on.
Following the run, families congregate at the Alam Suria Carnival for a day packed with fun-filled activities for all ages, with even a hint of nostalgia for those who can reminisce about the yesteryears of their youth.
This is because the carnival featured traditional games like Gasing and Batu Seremban, evoking recreational activities of a bygone era for adults who are mostly in parenthood while introducing their children to games that are uniquely Malaysian in heritage. In addition, contemporary activities such as archery, football, and e-sports added the modern twist, ensuring there was something enjoyable and served as a generational reintroduction of familial bonds for everyone in the family.
The younger ones also enjoyed interactive activities like face painting, giant bubbles, and sand art, allowing children to be creative and make new friends. At the same time, parents got to know each other more intimately and took a step back to relax and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
Picnic spots and sweet treats like popcorn and candyfloss added just the right hint of sugar rush, making it a pleasure for happy families to unwind together. Likewise, free health checks by Constant Pharmacy and an exciting lucky draw rounded off the day, creating an inclusive setting that made everyone feel part of the Alam Suria family.
Hilltop Community
Suria Hill rises to its highest point at 90m above sea level, offering a distinct hilltop experience. It is an extension of the Alam Suria township but poetically located on the hilltop at Bandar Puncak Alam.
