29th May 2022 Klang, Selangor – Sri Kota Specialist Medical Centre Klang (SKSMC) hosted the SIHAT FEST 2022, which was held at Taman Rakyat Klang from 6:30 am to 10:30 am. This initiative aims to raise the general population’s health awareness, create a channel for health education, and offer free health screenings. The SKSMC is thrilled that the Yang Dipertua of the Majlis Perbandaran Klang, YBrs. Tpr. Puan Hajah Noraini bin Roslan, attended the event as a guest of honour.
The Sihat Fest 2022 community event which brought people from all walks of life was officiated by Madam Tan Suet Guan, Hospital Director and YBrs Tpr Puan Hajah Noraini.
Tpr Puan Hajah Noraini said programs with the community are highly encouraged because they prioritize health and hygiene awareness. The YDP also provided support for CSR programs like the Sihat Fest initiatives to be sustained and continued to benefit the community.
Dr. Ahmad Muhsin Muhammad Nor, Consultant General Surgeon at SKSMC, also took stage with free consultations for conditions related to stomach pain/bloating, blood in stool/constipation, breast lumps/thyroid lumps, hernia, and gastric disorders. Nur Athirah, a competitor in Muay Thai, provided a self-defense demonstration for those interested in getting a kick out of the event.
In addition to the foregoing events, 150 people were provided with free health screening consisting of glucose test, BP check and an aerobic dance test. An interesting exhibition by IPD, Klang, exhibition of fire engines, and an exhibition by Majlis Perbandaran Klang was also organised to promote dengue awareness. These events took place in the morning.
The Sihat Fest was made possible by the gracious support from Majlis Perbandaran Klang, Taman Rakyat Zumba team, Marigold UHT Milk, IPD Klang, and Seri Andalas Fire and Rescue Station.
