Based on press release issued by T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that Dante B. Bautista has been hired as Office Director for TYLI’s new office in Manila, Philippines. In his role, Bautista will lead the firm’s market growth and new business development opportunities in the Philippines market and serve as Deputy Project Manager for TYLI’s Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge project.
Based in Manila, Bautista joins TYLI with 30 years of industry experience in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. He is an expert in transportation planning and traffic engineering. His expertise includes transportation master planning, toll road analysis, rail integration, congestion management, road safety analysis, and transit studies. He also has deep experience in land acquisition and developing financial and economic models and has been involved in many large-scale investment promotions.
“As his primary focus, Dante will work closely with T.Y. Lin International’s Bridge Line of Business as we provide Detailed Design Engineering services for the Philippine’s new Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge,” said Marwan Nader, Ph.D., P.E., TYLI Senior Vice President, Technical Director – Bridge Line of Business. “The immense project includes a 32.15-kilometer-long, four-lane, cable-stayed bridge that will cross the Manila Bay and connect Barangay Alas-asin in Mariveles, Bataan, and Barangay Timalan, Naic, Cavite.”
Among his numerous projects in the Philippines, Bautista led the traffic study for the North Luzon Expressway Project, Cavite-Laguna Expressway Project, Cebu-Cordova Bridge Project, and the Makati Central Business District Transit Rationalization, a study that includes transit terminal profiling, terminal supply-demand, and terminal integration for a 200-hectare land area serving as the country’s premier urban center. He also served on the Metro Manila Skyway Stages 2 and 3 Outline Design and Traffic Study, where he developed the Metro Manila traffic model to include programmed road infrastructure and toll collection systems for the elevated expressway.

During his professional career, Bautista has been honored with important industry awards. These include the Specialist Traffic Engineer Award from the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineer and Professional Regulation Commission and the Outstanding Road Safety Practitioner Award (Traffic Engineering Category) from the Safety Organization of the Philippines. He also received the Philippines’ most prestigious academic award, the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines.
Bautista received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Adamson University in Manila and a Master of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning, Transportation Planning Specialization, from the University of the Philippines Diliman.
