RoCham Singapore elects seasoned global consultant Radu Magdin as new vice president

    The Romanian Chamber of Commerce (RoCham), Singapore announced the election of Radu Magdin as the new vice president. As a seasoned global consultant with extensive experience in international affairs and business development, Radu brings valuable expertise to the Chamber’s leadership team.

    Following its Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on 3 May 2024, RoCham Singapore elects both its President and Vice President in full accordance with the Singapore laws and customs.

    Radu’s election comes at a pivotal moment for Romania as it expands its global footprint and seeks to enhance bilateral relations with key partners such as Singapore. His appointment underscores the Chamber’s commitment to promoting economic cooperation and investment opportunities between Romania and Singapore.

    Sam Ong, president of RoCham Singapore said, “I am happy to welcome Radu Magdin to our team as the new Vice President.     Among the key focus areas for RoCham Singapore are the fields of agriculture and technology, with particular emphasis on Agri-Tech investment projects. With Romania and the Romanian business community increasingly internationalising, these sectors hold significant potential for collaboration and growth between Romania and Singapore.

We witness the global economy every day, with recent figures undeniably showing that ASEAN is becoming a prominent centre of growth, expected to become the world’s fourth-largest economy by 2030.”
