HKPC welcomes the re-appointment of deputy chairman and appointment of new council members by the HKSAR government

    The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) welcomes the re-appointment of Mr Emil YU Chen-on, BBS, JP as the Deputy Chairman, and the appointment of new Council members, which were announced by the HKSAR Government in the Gazette on 20 December 2024 (with effect from 1 January  2025 for a period of two years).

    As a nationwide leader in innovative, market-driven research and development (R&D) internationally, specialising in leading technologies and all-rounded manufacturing services, HKPC promotes new industrialisation in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area and facilitates the development of new productive forces, leveraging innovation and technology (I&T), as well as bolstering Hong Kong to be an international innovation and technology centre. | Photo by HKPC / NHA File Photo

    Two new Council members have been appointed: 

    • Professor Samuel AU Kwok-wai 
    • Professor JIA Jiaya 

    Separately, six members have been re-appointed: 

    • Mr Bryant CHAN Wan-sing 
    • Mr Geoffrey Edward KAO 
    • Ms Vivien LAU Man-yee 
    • Professor Matthew LEE Kwok-on 
    • Ms Jennifer YEUNG Yin-chi, JP 
    • Ms ZHANG Li, JP 

    Two members will retire from the Council. They are: 

    • Ms Clara CHAN Yuen-shan, MH, JP 
    • Ms Frankie TAM Wing-see 

    HKPC would like to take the opportunity to express heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing members for their  dedicated services and invaluable contribution in the past years. HKPC also warmly welcomes the new Council  members and look forward to advancing local innovation and technology development under their leadership.
