    Experience the Magic of Chinatown

Chinatown has always been one of KL’s most unique neighbourhoods. It is a place where old-world charm meets modern creativity, with traditional temples, bustling markets, and colourful shophouses sitting alongside trendy cafes, galleries, and music venues. This festival brings it all together, making it a must-visit this weekend.

Shin Chang, one of the festival’s co-founders says this is more than just a festival—it is about celebrating Chinatown’s story and making sure it continues to thrive. At the same time, the festival aims to get everyone, from locals to first-timers, to feel a connection to this amazing neighbourhood.

“This festival was established to bring together a diverse mix of stakeholders, from long-standing businesses to contemporary spaces, all united by a shared vision for Chinatown’s future. This festival is just the first step in our commitment to keeping Chinatown alive and vibrant, not just during the festival but through year-long activities that engage the community. By working hand-in-hand with local partners, we want to foster a sense of belonging and creativity that ensures a lasting positive impact within Chinatown,” said Shin Chang.
