CILTM highlights the vital role of lifelong learning

    The 24th CILT Malaysia Convocation held on 9 November 2024 celebrated the achievements of approximately 450 CILT members across various levels, from Affiliate Members to the prestigious Chartered Fellows. This event was a showcase of dedication and professional excellence within the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Malaysia (CILTM).

    During the convocation, 10 members received the prestigious Chartered Fellowship, while 78 recipients were awarded the Chartered Member designation, including 13 officers from the Malaysian Royal Service Corps (RSC) and 16 officers from the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN). The certificates were presented by Chief Teete Owusu Nortey, President of CILT International, and Prof. Ts. Dr. Muhammad Zaly Shah FCILT, President of CILT Malaysia. Sharon Kindleysides, Secretary General of CILT International, was also present at this notable event.

    Chief Teete emphasised the value of CILT membership, highlighting how members gain access to extensive knowledge, global best practices, and a global network, along with a strong emphasis on integrity and excellence.

    Muhammad Zaly echoed the importance of lifelong learning, aligning CILT’s mission with the Malaysian government’s focus on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as a pathway to success in the evolving industry.
