Ara Damansara Medical Centre (ADMC) and Bukit Tinggi Medical Centre (BTMC), two of RSDH’s esteemed hospitals, were recognised for their contributions to patient care and community service. ADMC made history for their efforts in COVID-19 vaccination for persons with disabilities (PWDs), while BTMC was named the Most Improved Community Hospital of the Year for delivering top-notch healthcare services to its patients and the community.

The Healthcare Asia Awards recognises healthcare providers who innovate and reinvent initiatives to better serve their patients and protect their employees amidst the massive disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The awards honour hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare providers that have risen above the challenges and made a remarkable impact on their patients.

Breaking Barriers: ADMC’s Ground-breaking Drive-Through Vaccination Programme for People with Disabilities (PWDs)
ADMC stands as a preeminent hospital in the region, offering 220 beds and a wide range of specialities to provide comprehensive healthcare services. Its commitment to medical advancements and comprehensive care is reflected in its recent award for Vaccination Delivery of the Year. ADMC’s drive-through vaccination programme, in partnership with Protecthealth Corporation, OKU Sentral, Yayasan Sime Darby, and Sime Darby Plantation, successfully vaccinated 13,500 Persons with Disabilities (PWD) and their caregivers. The initiative aimed to provide a comfortable and efficient vaccination experience, with a dedicated task force overcoming challenges to ensure a smooth process.
Puan Miranda Harumal, Chief Executive Officer of ADMC expressed her gratitude for the recognition of their Vaccination Delivery of the Year award. She stated that their pioneering drive-through vaccination programme was committed to providing comprehensive healthcare services to all patients, including those with disabilities, and that their success was a testament to their dedication to innovation and comprehensive care.
ADMC’s drive-through vaccination initiative won the “Outstanding Vaccination Contribution for OKU” award in the Public-Private Partnership category presented by the Malaysian Health Minister.

‘Care 4 Klang’ Food Bank
BTMC provided aid during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown by delivering essential food items to those in need, demonstrating selfless acts of kindness and inspiring others.
Program Komuniti Sihat
BTMC’s impactful partnership with the Klang Municipal Council and Community Leaders of Pulau Ketam resulted in over 1,000 elderly residents receiving crucial health checks and gaining awareness of the significance of community health.
The Gift of Sight with the Rotary Club Klang Central
‘The Gift of Sight’ programme has provided free cataract surgeries to 30 recipients in the B40 community of Klang Valley since December 2020, transforming their lives and restoring their vision.
Medical Camp in Kuala Selangor
BTMC provided essential medical care, including dental, eye, and paediatric check-ups for children aged 4 to 13 years old in the estate area, where many struggle with poor eyesight which affects their academic performance.
