ANA and Scoot shine at ATW’s 51st Annual Airline Industry Achievement Awards

    Asia’s aviation industry received top honours at the prestigious Air Transport World (ATW) Airline Industry Achievement Awards, with Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA) named Airline of the Year and Singapore’s Scoot securing the Value Airline of the Year title for the second consecutive year.

    Hosted by ATW, part of Informa’s Aviation Week Network, the 51st annual awards celebrate excellence in airline operations, management, and sustainability. The winners will be formally recognised at a gala dinner in New Delhi, India, on 30 May 2025.

    Tokyo-based ANA, a member of the Star Alliance, was awarded Airline of the Year for its strong financial performance, forward-thinking management, customer-centric approach, and commitment to sustainability. The airline’s dedication to enhancing passenger experience and operational efficiency placed it ahead of global competitors.

    ANA president and CEO Shinichi Inoue expressed gratitude for the accolade, stating, “Receiving the Airline of the Year Award is a testament to ANA’s unwavering commitment to safety, innovation, and exceptional customer service delivered daily by our dedicated employees.”

    This recognition further cements ANA’s position as one of Asia’s most respected carriers, with a reputation for reliability, technological advancements, and premium in-flight services.

    Singapore-based Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, retained its Value Airline of the Year title, reaffirming its leadership in the budget travel segment. The airline was recognised for its competitive fares, expanding network, and innovative services that enhance the passenger experience.

    Scoot CEO Leslie Thng credited the airline’s success to its dedicated workforce, stating, “We are honoured to be named ‘Value Airline of the Year’ for the second consecutive year, a recognition that reaffirms our position as the leading value airline in the region and inspires us to continue setting new industry benchmarks. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and teamwork of the entire Scoot team.”

    Since its inception, Scoot has differentiated itself with affordable yet quality air travel, attracting a growing customer base across Asia and beyond. The airline continues to expand its route network while maintaining operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

    Apart from ANA and Scoot, other notable winners at the ATW Awards include Cathay Pacific (Eco-Airline of the Year), Cathay Cargo (Cargo Operator of the Year), Qatar Cargo (Humanitarian Force for Good), and Sun Country (Airline Market Leader).

    Karen Walker, ATW’s editor-in-chief, commended all recipients, stating, “I congratulate all of our highly deserving 2025 winners who stand for the very best in the global air transport industry.
