Entry SOPs for all permitted sectors have already been authorized, according to Minister of Home Affairs Dato’ Seri Hamzah Zainudin. The plantation sector will be the first priority for hiring new foreign workers, with 32000 new foreign workers hired specifically for the sector, particularly for the oil palm industry. The other sectors will be handled on a case by case basis.
