According to Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, the Caring Business Registration Scheme (SPPP) was established to assist the B40 group whose income is impacted by COVID-19.
The program also encourages full-time students in higher education institutions to register businesses and explore potential fields. Moreover, the scheme enables B40s to legally enter the business world and apply for grants under Budget2022 initiatives.
SSM records a total of 21,397 SPPP applications under the Business Registration Act 1956 as of October 31, 2021.
