TOKYO, May 8, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — The BMW Group (“BMW“), the world’s leading manufacturer of premium automobiles and motorcycles, and provider of first-class financial and mobility services, will be shifting gears on its customer service in Japan with a new state-of-the-art Regional Distribution Centre at Goodman Business Park Stage 4.
Having outgrown its current space and needing to expand in a strategic location to match its premium brand, BMW has signed a pre-lease agreement with Goodman Group to occupy over 70,000 sqm at Goodman Business Park Stage 4, a four-storey, high-specification logistics facility of over 100,000 sqm that is due for completion in October 2020.
Goodman Business Park is a master-planned, business and technology precinct spanning over 500,000 sqm in Chiba Prefecture, Greater Tokyo. The park currently features three sustainable state-of-the-art logistics facilities, with Stage 4 under development. Future stages of Goodman Business Park are being planned to provide opportunities for both new and existing customers.
The precinct also offers an unparalleled level of services, making it an attractive place to visit and in which to work. Services include a cafeteria and terrace in each building, a convenience store, post & parcel delivery, ATM, and a driver rest area that includes showers and a lounge. Extensive centralised parking, a dedicated bus service and share bicycles provide ease of transport throughout the precinct as well as to nearby train stations.
